What do we believe in???

Who are Lutherans?

Lutherans are Christians who emphasize especially God's free gift of grace in Jesus Christ as alone sufficient to set us right before God. The centrality of this belief derives from Martin Luther, who began the reformation in 1517.

Worship is central to Lutherans. In worship, we return thanks to God, hear His Word, and share in His Supper. In the fellowship of the congregation, we are supported and strengthened for the living of our daily lives.

Lutheranism is the world's largest Protestant denomination and the third largest in North America.

What we believe...

We believe that there is one true God who reveals Himself as Father, Son and Spirit.

We believe that the Bible is God's inspired message to His creation.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation.

We believe we are "justified by grace through faith."

We believe that salvation is a gift from God; We believe we cannot buy it or earn it. We try to live a Christian life in thankfulness to God for giving His Gift to us.

We believe that the true Church is comprised of all persons who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ and functions to accomplish God's purposes.

We believe that worship is essential to a healthy spiritual life.

We believe that God the Holy Spirit is present with His people in this world.

We believe that Christ will come again, but since that date cannot be known, we live each day as if it were the day of His return.

We are Christians who happen also to be Lutherans. We are witnesses to Christ, not salespeople. We invite you to make up your own mind. We are not a group of saints. Frankly, we're pretty suspicious of people who claim to be perfect or who claim to have a corner of Christ. We come from varied backgrounds, but we are God's people, all makes and models. We stress the Gospel of Christ.

We invite you...

Whether you are

...young...old...in-between

Whether you are

...single...married...divorced

Whether your interest is in

...worship and prayer...Christian fellowship...Bible study...serving others...singing and music

You are invited

...you don't have to be perfect...you don't have to be rich...you don't have to be Lutheran

Our aim is

...to serve God...to be a caring community...to participate in the fullness of life as Christ promised

Our strategy is

...to worship (publically and privately)...to learn what it is to be a child of God...to witness by our very life style...to serve others in need...to support one another

We invite you to join with us for all of these and, if you wish, to make this your church home!
