Wild Women

Women of all ages are encouraged to participate in social and spiritual events, ranging from teas to supper club to retreats.


C.L.A.M.'s

 

Concerned Lutherans at Messiah meet the third Wednesday of each month for a covered dish lunch and fellowship. This group is primarily made up of retired members. See The Missal for announcements of future events.

 


Y.A.M.'s

 

Young Adults at Messiah organize family outings as well as events for young parents and singles. This group is made up of young people who have passed their 20th birthday. See The Missal for announcements of future events.

 


H.A.M.'s

 

These Happy Adults at Messiah meet once a month for outings, games, conversation, fun, food (always!) and good fellowship. The group consists mainly of members who no longer have children at home. See The Missal for announcements of future events.

 


T.O.M.'s

From Who Wants to be a Kingdom Heir, performed November 5th, 2000.

 

The Thespians of Messiah is a group of volunteers who are interested in serving through their dramatic skills. They have provided dramatic emphasis for Christmas, Lent, Stewardship and other special events. Volunteers who like to act, love to sew, work on scenery or special effect are urged to participate. Youth

 

The youth of our congregation are embarking on new and exciting endeavors. As a regular event, they are participating in the S.O.S. (Sandwiches on Sunday) by making sandwiches on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm. See The Missal for announcements of future events or call Pastor von Hacke at (404) 373-1682.

Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America have a contemporary agenda exmphasizing education, service, communication and action. See The Missal for announcements of future events.

 


Circles

 

The Naomi/Rebekah Circles meet together on Thursday at 7:00 pm. They emphasize service projects for cancer patients and the elderly. They also participate in the S.O.S. (Sandwiches on Sunday) program on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:00 pm. See The Missal for announcements of future events.

 

The Rose of Sharon Circle meets at 6:00 pm on the third Tuesday of the month. They emphasize a bible study program and host the Christmas Open House. They also participate in the S.O.S. (Sandwiches on Sunday) program on the 1st and 4th Thursday of each month at10:00 am. See The Missal for announcements of future events.

 


Church Women United - DeKalb

 

This is a National Ecumenical movements of Christian women witnessing to the unity of faith in Jesus Christ through worship, study, action and celebration. See The Missal for announcements of future events.

 


Lutheran Men in Mission

These men meet for a fellowship breakfast at 8:30 am on the last Saturday of each month. This group addresses the needs of church property and community. They also participate in the S.O.S. (Sandwiches on Sunday) program when a month has a 5th Sunday. See The Missal for announcements of future events.

 


Messiah Quilters

 

Messiah quilters meet the 4th Wednesday of each month at 9:15 am to make quilts for the homeless.
